White ash versus black ash

Hey fam, I've been reading a little about this topic and I want to know more. Does anyne know? I did flush my first DWC grow, but he nly for 24 hours. My ash is black, and I wanna do better.

this is where a stripper/flushing agent is key!! works way better than plain water on getting built up salts out of plant and whatever medium is being used....

this is what I use..love it..use it throughout whole grow...it really changes the ball game..

that is what allows me to go full strength on nutes for my autos and photos...... my new revised plan.... feed....... ph water with calmag and stalk hardener...... stripper... feed and so on..... the water round and the stripper round keeps me clean and allows no nute blockage or build up...due to to much salt...when they do get nute burned they are fixed by start of new cycle....

I have white ash and do flush with just ph'd water for the week , I didn't want to cough with smoking it , I don't it works.

I still want to try the Emerald nutrients because I like the size of those buds I see. But I am avoiding *extra's, just because I can't afford it all.

Thanks, Green I will try that; so you get white ash????? Or is this black vs white ash thing invalid?

I'm still asking my original question about white ash vs black ash. Is this a myth? Is it a fact? How much has to do with final flush? With over-feeding? With cure?

Thanks, Karlee. Bubblehead: does that mean you're a DWC grower? You flush for a week? What do the leaves look like after a week flush? I'm very curious.

So it's not a bad thing? If bud is cured and stored at 62% RH, we should expect to have black ash cuz we don't want to dry it out completely???? Tryna understand here...

Hi Alltaup

It's all good dude! Are you getting close to a harvest?

Basically the flush is to make the plant use up any nutrients in it's system so (maybe) the smoke won't be harsh to smoke. I think it's a good thing to try because we want it mellow not harsh. Nothing is written in stone about any the best way to grow and cure your pot.

Some people leave it in the dark the last couple days before they harvest, we're writing the book here what does and doesn't work!

I did flush my first grow, and used a product recommended by Nebula to remove salts. And no, I'm just about to switch 5 plants to flower, so I'm not closing in on harvest.
BTW, I'm a girl, not a dude. Don't know why everyone thinks I'm a dude...

Green, I believe you, but I'm still not getting my fundamental questions answered... Is there a good and bad to black and white ash? Maybe there's no science to it; maybe it's moisture, maybe flush, maybe strain, maybe I'm just not smokin it all the way down...cuz I'm a princess...

Some people say they just don't smoke it all the way down to the white ash; I'm going to try that later on today in a pipe, see if smokin it all the way down produces white ash.
