Rw, I try to check on them often. I just get busy and forget. Mostly they just get taller and wider. I don't usually get bugs or deficiencies. My homemade grow boxes are 12x12 and 18 inches deep. No sides or bottoms. I just wrapped them in landscape fabric. A 30 ft roll sells for $6 here. So far all my plants grow roots out the bottom and sides. Each grow box holds 1.75 cubic feet, if I remember correctly.

I just checked my plants before lights out. The Misty Kush will need the exhaust fan now. The 1800 watt Cobb puts off a lot of heat. The 1500 watt Cobb is over the Rhino. It's not putting off as much heat. Tonight I will be adding the exhaust fan and charcoal filter to Misty's tent. I will add the fan and filter for the rhino after it arrives next week.

wow madman hydro yields less than dirt I'm usually jealous of my buddy who grows in hydro his yields are so much bigger than mine ,
One thing I have learned over the grows is that environmental influences affect the plants alot so if they are not right then your starting off on the wrong foot lol

Read @Campesinos Guide to growing in coco and his feed/ drain system all the directions are there to set up an automatic feed system and drain system so if you have to you can leave them for a few days

My hydro experience was not impressive. Likely my fault. Buy I only had one big plant out of 6. 4 medium and one tiny. When I grow in soil, all my plants get big. It's crazy. I will stick with soil for now. Maybe try hydro again next summer. Hopefully I will have a couple good harvests by then. I have been killing lots of plants. I only have 13 seeds left out of the 40 I ordered from Nirvana. It's been a unique learning experience. I hope to finish out this grow without any issues. Having a difficult time deciding if I should use my current lights just for veg and use hps for flower.
