Which moths are bad?

I get periodic moths in my house. Real common type. Seen them forever. I've never had an issue with other plants getting larvae.
Is there a difference between, say, indoor and outdoor moths?

Here in California the primary culprit is the Tobacco Budworm Moth.
Their little caterpillar offspring can wreak havoc on us outdoor growers.
I built myself a screenhouse this year for my grow in hopes I can keep
them at bay.

Catching up on some googling, turns out there are moths that don't attack plants. Pantry moths only lay eggs in food products and cloth from animals.

Look up Japanese pantry moths. I'll never buy ol Roy brand dog biscuits again. Took me 6 months to get rid of them. Mice hid dog food and the moths found it. Pure hell.
