Which light?

Here is my set up. Dwc in a 10 gal tote with six pots. The space is 36 x 36 square by 72 high. Want to use a MH and HPS sould I go with a 400 or 600 watt?

400 would be sufficient for that space if electricity costs and heat are a concern with a 600

although I use a 600W HPS in a 24x36 cupboard

I use a 600 watt in a 2 by 4 foot small tent my power bill went up a whopping $21.32

Since I'm using reg seed I'll plant six and hope for 2 girls. Would 3 be good for my set up?
