Where to place fan heater in grow room

My grow room in 1mx1m square. I have extraction which i can't turn down. 400CFM. The grow is in my garage and the ventilation is bringing in air which is about 5 degrees C. Im concearned about smell so don't want to turn my ventilation off. Its unconventional for me to heat the whole garage, so i've pruchased a fan heater with a thermostat etc etc to keep my temps up whilst lights are off. it hits 11 degrees C in the grow room lights off even with a oil rad in there. so this solution does not work... I was wondering where would the best place be to place my fan heater inside the grow room for optimum temps/make sure plants dont burn etc. it needs to be inside so the thermostat can work efficiently. I understand that the warm is being sucked straight out which means the heater may be on quite a bit. Needs must in these winter months. Thanks in adavance for any help.

Put the heater outside the tent but blowing towards the intake. You will probably have to put it on a timer rather than relying on the thermostat. I run mine 15mins on, 15 mins off when the light is off and 15 mins on 30 mins off when the light is on. You might need to adjust things to suit your particular set up. The other thing to bear in mind is that blowing warm air into your tent will lower the humidity quite a bit, you might need to run a small humidifier if it drops much below 40% during veg. Putting a fan heater in the tent will burn your plants. Good luck with it.

Hey James are you growing in fabric pots? I have been using heating mats to keep the roots warm. Then I don't have to heat the whole room. They have them on Amazon with or without thermostat. They draw 20w so not expensive to operate. Couple of other people here are using then also. Best of luck.
