When to start flush in soil medium?

Hello all, I looked at the trichomes while watering today and its about 50/50 cloudy/clear, today was just ph'd water, question is do i start the flush now or would they benefit from a couple more boosts, at a lower nutes level, I don't know how quickly the trichomes can turn to all/most of them cloudy, that is when to harvest I believe:)thanks:)

Oh those are pretty. I would wait till 70/30 to start flushing but it depends on what kind of high you are looking for and what strain.

For example:

I personally have issues with anxiety and depression so sometimes i like sativa's for the uplifting feeling but let sativa's go longer to keep them from being too speedy which can wreak havoc on my anxiety. Indica's i typically will harvest earlier (but not too early) because they don't mess with my anxiety.

im going to not flush any of my grows until I have enough solid information to tell me otherwise. When a plant is shutting down- its exhausted all resources including from within- and wont really take any more regardless if what you give it. So water with nutes or water without- is just going to sort of wet the soil - and drain out- but likely not get used by the plant- when shes done- shes hollowed out- and cannot drink anymore! Her vein is dead- and is sustaining on leaves and branch/stems. At least from my research. And watching roots, dirt development. Watching plants suck up water or not take any- tricks to get them to drink more- or less
 
What are you calling a flush...plain ph water ..wich is a rinse..or...a flush/stripper

Two different things...what are you trying to accomplish
 
I just give them water the last 2 weeks. I have never flushed my weed. I'm also very stingy with my nutes.
 
my thoughts too- naturally they shut down- why starve - if no signs of deficiency? Green are you doing water only for the last week or 2 or nutes to the end? My last 2 just happened to have nutes till the end. The smell is still super marvelous and I cant wait to finish the cure.
 
Yeah, like Tersky said, good point, I am referring to a 1 or 2 week course with plain ph water, sorry left that bit out:) I am following gwe guide by doing this and hope to accomplish smoother buds i think, first time and all that!!

I try to flush/stripper a week to a week and half before harvest...then full nutes till kill day

I only use plain ph water to to rinse when I have ph problem..
 
Ok so are the buds no smoother after a 2 week rinse? I thought that was so....also how quickly can the trichomes turn to mostly cloudy from 50/50? First day of 7th week of flower today, not picking dude, I just know you know your shit :)
 
As soon as the plant takes nutrients from the medium combined with the light it is turned into sugar to feed the plant....I like sugar...

The harshness comes from not stripping your plant of all the excess salt.. you know when you hit a bowl or some sort of burnt weed apparatus and you hear it snap and pop and there is no seed in the bowl it's because of all the salt build-up still in the plant so I flush / strip all the salt out and then hit it with nutes again to keep feeding because at the end of the flowering cycle they're hungry they want to eat as much as you can give them so yes light is also key but without nutrient uptake you're just keeping the plant alive at that point
 
Mucho help dude thanks, I am going for relaxing effect, I'm in the same room as you medically and I DO NOT want anxiety heightened, that particular sense is sharp enough dude lol:)
 
when shes going all amber- shes shutting down- but prior to that- shes already peaked and has max trich dev at the calyx- and cannot produce anymore thc- and therefore thats the pinnacle. - but to know exactly when that is, is to have multiple subject matter, stare at them obsessively, have them at different stages, bend, break branches and stems, burn them from lights, nutes, bugs, etc. To get a full understanding of what a plant can and cannot do. I took out my C+ last night to feed- and noticed a branch totally fucked. it was burned like, broken- I said it couldnt have been from last night- to today- the cola branch has a meaty nut where the branchs is still pulling food- this shit is DEAD but still getting nutes through the branch- regardless- I think shes a lost cause branch- but shes growing so I will keep her up- a 4 socket bulb fell onto her- I bet it burned branch- and only saw that last night- when I pruned the crap out of her


and just comb that ladys hair till shes but a bud in a bowl.
 
Ok, I'm going with Greenie on this one, next water is sat, I'm picking up canna flush tomorrow, in your opinion.....how long do I have until harvest?
