When should my autos start to flower?

Hey guys. I’m in my first autoflower grow. I’ve got two auto OG Kush from Nirvana, growing in FFOF/Nature’s Living Soil, indoors in a tent, under a Black Dog LED PhytoMAX-2 600, drawing 615 watts from the wall.

It’s been almost 4 full weeks since they sprouted, and I don’t see any signs of pistils on either of them. I thought they would have flipped to flowering by now. Is this normal? I really don’t want to put them on 12/12 unless I absolutely have to, as it’s hard to keep light out of the lung room during those extra 6 hours. Thanks!

Oh my !! Hang in there mate. Soon our autos apprentice soon !! Imagine a photo now lolll 8 to 12 weeks in veg like I do lollll

I don't grow autos but a question I have is:

if an auto is reluctant to finish flowering does it help to change its lighting schedule to 12/12 ?

Not an expert but everything I’ve read says light won’t change the blooming cycle. Just guessing but it might slow down the flowering given the plant is getting less light, but I could be completely wrong.

I’ve seen others on this forum advise switching an auto to 12/12 when it won’t start flowering. I don’t know about the effects of doing so on the flowering cycle itself, but everything I’ve read indicates that it will prompt an auto to start flowering.
