Is there a way to tell what stain I’m growing from the looks of the plant?

Not a one.
You could get clues, later in flowering, by the color of the colas. Also, the structure and leaves of the plant might give you an idea if you have a sativa or indica.

Haha. I grew remedy last summer. I would know her if I saw her. Only because she has very distinguished pink hairs in bloom.
Unless it is something that easily separates itself from the rest, visually speaking, no you can’t tell what strain it is by looking at it.

Since you don't know the strain, and a plant is just a plant until you name it, give it your own name.

Short fat fingers = Indica, long skinny fingers = sativa, from there would take expensive genetic testing to determine what she is made up of,,,,,,
