I've got my plants and they've been vegging for a few months. I'm going to flip the lights to 12/12 and start flowering. Anything I should do to prepare? I'm going to defoliate hella.

Make a defoliation now, and wait 2-3 weeks to make another one if needed, the only thing I would do. Beside flipping the lights.

For defoliation do I remove small branches too?

But if You want to do that. I suggest you wait on flipping to 12/12 then. 7-14 days maybe. Until it’s not stressed, because it will stress the plant a little of course.
