Being able to have access to GWE and the GWE Community has definitely opened my eyes AND mind to the world of growing cannabis and boy is it a big one. But overall ive learned that, most importantly, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and secondly, DONT GROW BAGSEED. If you're a tried and true grower thats trying to get the most out of every grow, invest in seeds with genetics that are best suited for YOU. Otherwise, there are way to many unknown variables from a random bagseed. So you cant have in mind what to expect from the plant. Its basically Russian roulette. Now dont get me wrong, you can grow some fire bagseed. Obviously. But thats ONLY if its a female and thats a 50/50 shot. So yeah, im speaking from experience and my mind. Its worth the investment. IMO. Happy growing 😉

But wouldn't that rule out Regular seeds also? I mean ok you might get a standard 2 phenotypes but still,if they grow balls,u're wasting ur money,but if its a girl,you got you're own Scotts OG for example flowering in your tent...

Bagseeds have changed over the years,even mexican border shit is now packed with fine hybrids grown in terrible conditions,like Albanian weed..They throw in autos,leave them there with basic blue fertilizer under the summer sun and chop them like they would chop hay and pack it the same way...The plant before harvest is a fine specimen of outdoor growing,i mean who can compete with the sun..You can combine all possible light fixtures and get a trillion umols per sq foot and still,mother nature will give you the finger,for she is a mother,not a grower...

As starramus said,i've also gotten 50day flowering auto from bagseed and the thing was purple and orange and had a skunky nylon mattress scent with a sweet flavor! I WISH i knew the name,i would SoG 20 of them since i only got 14g off that one... And i did only put one seed in the soil that time...

Then what if you grow a bagseed and STS(Sex Change) it if it is a female !?!? I mean i grow according to flavor,potency yield and mold resistance!! So i end up growing mostly autos or skunky dutch seeds that can hold the battlefront with the environment here...I have grown 15 different strains in 3 years and the only reason i wouldn't grow one of them again is because it's tough shit making a most wanted strain list and choosing between such awe inspiring pool of genes! I also tend to grow 100% different genetics in one grow so i can stay high on a low supply by changing throughout the day what i smoke!

Playing with bagseeds and colloidal silver isn't always a bad path to go down,you learn great things,end up with weird and amazing or even creepy plants,you play with your plants and you're mind gets lost in the infinitum of possibilities!!Im not saying anyone should go out and breed or waste nutes and electricity on bagseeds,but given the chance,don't waste it,there is enough information on the internet to help you get some seeds in your hands you can play with and see what happens...

Again,this is not to be cheap and get ur free seeds,most likely wont work like that anyway,it is a way to expand your play time and experience with cannabis...

Great points 89. I'm a buy a good seed guy,that's a variable that I like to take out of my grows fem seeds allow care free training and no worry light switch.

Very good. But yes, i suppose if we got technical it would eliminate regular seeds as well. So what did you mean by the Scotts OG?

I mean that Scott's OG from rare darkness is a regular only strain..And so many other great strains are regular only..

I can agree with some of the points here, BUT, I have never had 50% males ever from any seed. Indeed I get closer to 98% females from the sacks of Mexican. The seed I got from other folks growing, also out of about 30 seed (I did not count them) only 2 were males. That said I will be buying some seed I want to get the strains I want, now that it is legal for me to grow!
For someone that has never grown a plant and has the seed from bags, why not use those to learn with?

Mandala seeds offer its Hashberry only as a regular. I have 10 regulars coming if my Seedsman order ever arrives. It is one of my wife's favorites. So this was a special order. Damn!

I should have added, I plant outside, and have 6 out there now! It is so much cheaper than lights, not that I am against lights.
With my new laws I can have 6+6 (adults+juveniles) and will be setting up indoor most likely with autos, so many beauties to pick from.

Thats exactly what you could do if you had old supplies lying around in reserve or even if it something you do regularly to stay sharp. Never said you couldnt do that. This was directed more or less to growers who want the best everytime with a very minimal margin of error. Straight up. You thinking about trying your hand at this? Then read anything and everything you can on GWE, get a seed, some water, a growing medium, a light/sun and voila, your off to a damn good start. Then just apply what you've read and ask questions when needed. Just remember, keep it simple stupid. 😉
