What is your preference for trimming after harvest - Wet or Dry?

While my crop isn't ready for harvest yet, I'm starting to get close. My thinking is that sugar leaves will be easier to trim while wet. What say you?
 
I trim wet..and the majority of the plant while its still standing. Set it on the floor and pull up a chair. This way i can trim off most if not all leaves and sugar leaves nice and tight to the bud without actually holding the bud. But mostly because its much easier on my back..lol
 
Keep a razor blade handy and scrape your clippers often..makes it much easier and gives you a nice little ball of hash for your troubles Smoke Break!! :D
 
Scissor hash is great!

Does anyone know how to make the good ole fashioned burn on a pin & catch the smoke in a small glass REAL hash?

My memories (lol) of smoking hash under a glass involved peeling layers of hash or even a chunk and sticking it on a pin and lighting it so it would slowly smolder. The pin would be stabilized under a glass by poking it through a matchbook cover or something similar. Once lit, you would cover it with a glass and allow the smoke to accumulate and then lift the edge of the glass and inhale the accumulated smoke. I don't think this will work well with scissor hash because it is all resin and will vaporise when lit and not allow for the accumulation. As far as making hash I use pelletized dry ice and sugar leaves. Put the 2 in a mesh bag and shake the shit out of it. Look up youtube vids for best practices. You fisrt shaking will get nice tan powder and subsequent shakings will get progressively greener. First one is the best one. You can press this into patties with your bare hands. As I understand it that is good old fashioned hash. I've only done this once. I had 26 grams total hash last harvest. Friend came over and we squeezed most of it into oil. Strong shit.
 
I miss the distnctive aroma and flavor of the old hash...but can't help but wonder how it was produced.

alltatup, do you make your own vapes and if so, what method? I want to make to make my own. I've got 15 or so old cartridges that I'm reluctant to smoke because of contamination concerns.
 
I think that when I let the plant dry with most of the foliage intact, it does smoke better but I'm like most in that I prefer to do wet trimming before hanging.
As far as bucking the dried flower into jars, I'd suggest multiple pairs of trimmers and a glass of isopropyl alcohol. While you're gumming up the pair in your hand, the others are soaking/cleaning in the iso.
