What is your biggest question about growing cannabis?

I'm growing my first autos this grow mixed with some photos so will be keeping 18/6 throughout the photo veg which will be the entire grow for the autos. I'll adjust the height of the autos to get the correct DLI for both....well that's the plan anyway...will it work? NFI.
 
I have an energy plan that charges me 4 times the rate during peak hours 4pm-7pm so I usually have my grow lights off then to save money. In the winter we have super off-peak hours with even less of a rate so I make sure that falls into my plants daytime also to save.

I have an 8" ac infinity fan and controller and run it somewhere toward the middle range. That gives me room to adjust the humidity. Plants go thru transpiration phase after watering and the humidity jumps up and then I can increase the exhaust fan to compensate. I used to turn off fans during dark times thinking to save money. That is a mistake in my opinion and adds to issues with fungus gnats and mold problems. I always have exhaust and air moving now. Sometimes you think you are saving money but in the long run you are costing it.
 
Got a few quick questions
1. How much dyna grow bloom should I mix per gallon of water my plants are about 3 weeks into flowering

2. Can I reuse fabric pots on my next grow? And are they washing machine safe?

3. I was thinking of using my tent and my Scrog net to dry my buds by using clothespins and hanging them upside down from the net. Do I need my grow lamp to dry them or can I turn that off while they're drying?

4. Do I need tinted Mason jars or can I just use regular ones for the curing process? Is it safe to spray paint them black?
 
1) Use 1/2 the recommended amount to start and adjust from there
2) Yes, I wash them with baking soda in the washing machine and give multiple rinses
3) Your tent is a great place to dry and control temp and humidity and airflow. You dry in the dark
4) Just keep them in a dark place or a box. I do not see why you couldnt paint the outside
 
Your tent/grow room is probably the best place to dry them.

Be conservative on temps and humidity.....and dry slow.

I had the correct temps and RH last dry in my room but I had too much air movement and they dried a bit too fast and a bit too much so take it easy with the dry
 
I have a 2x2x4 tent. Its it possible for me to grow and scrog 4, 5-gallon pot plants in that tent? It is even worth it to scrog just 4 plants?
 
It's worth scrogging a single plant if it means the colas won't fall over when they get too heavy.

It also helps spread them out for better light penetration for larger buds.

Edit... and buds crammed together and touching each other reduces air flow and is a recipe for mold.

But I can do four plants in that space if I scrog tho?
 
You can but you won't want to veg them for more than a few weeks.

The way I grow I'd only do 1 or at most 2 plants in that space.

You will need to be very good at cropping to keep their height down too. 4ft high tent doesn't give you any room for error, none at all.
 
Does it mean anything if the perlite in your soil starts coming up to the surface the day after you water your plants?
 
No it doesn't mean a thing mine do it all the time and the older the perilite like if you reuse your soils mix it gets darker so don't worry about that either. And i would not unless your really good at it crame 4 plants into that space. You want more get a bigger tent. But then again you probably grow autos I can fit 6 autos in a 3x3x6 tent but 4 is more manageable.

Yeah see with my first grow right now. I didnt factor in the height of each plant so now i have a tall photoperiod and a medium sized autoflower. I decided to do one photo and one auto to get an idea of how each one acts and its comparative grow time. I didnt factor in the height. So now I'm planning my next grow with more detail and making sure the plants I choose will all have similar heights and grow times.
 
Growing autos alongside photos. The photos got too big for my space so I flipped them to 12/12 along with the autos. I heard it can be done. Only that. No details. my problem is, the autos slowed to a crawl. They are over 17 weeks old now. still clear tric's. Is this normal for my situation or did I just stumble on some drag forever cultivar? Can they be moved to 18/6 (It's been 2 months in 12/12) in some other space without reveging or some other craziness? My current plan is to just ride it out for the other 6 weeks till the photos are done.

I had the same thing happen unfortunately. Autos do what they do regardless of light cycles.
 
did Durban Poison auto flower in doors this past winter, Oct to Feb, not sure how long it was supposed to take but it took 16/17 weeks from first 2 leaves to harvest.
