What is your biggest question about growing cannabis?

your brain release seratonin i think thats what its called (its some kinda chemical your brain makes to make you happy) to the receptors when your are in the garden area around soil and plants growing i enjoy watching them grow it makes me happy when i see my plants looking sexy as fuck! lol

I am on my first grow - the plants were put on the 12/12 flowering schedule about 4 weeks ago, I have them light during the night (cheaper electricity and easier to control the temperature) and they were doing excellently until last Friday - I had to have some electrical work done on my house - so the electricity was turned off for several hours - when it was turned back on, the lights all came on about 4 hours too early (arghhh!!) - Unfortunately I didn't notice until they had been on for about a half an hour - I unplugged them, re-setup the timers and unexplicably got the time wrong by 12 hours (the old am/pm thing) so when they turned on, they were only on for about an hour!! When I noticed that error, I quickly turned the timers on, re-setup the timers again, this time getting the am/pm thing right, I forgot to put the timers back into "timer" mode (I gotta cut back on smoking), so the plants were subjected to 18 hours of light before noticing that error!! (double arghhh!!!) I put them back on the 12/12, but now I would not be at all surprised if the plants are now back in veg mode -

I know the whole sequence is a bit confusing, suffice it to say, I totally screwed up the light cycle for about 24 hours. The question is, how can I tell if they went back to veg mode? If they did, how can I coax them back to flower? What other problems can I expect from this snafu?

im not as experienced as these guys but you should be fine a slight mishap is ok to me because in nature there eclipses and cloudts that cross thqe suns light and give temporary darkness they might feel confused for a bit but im sure 2 2 days back on track will be good and you wont even notice that they noticed... lets hope so anyways!
 
i was in my closet when the light went off on me i had to fiddle to unplug and replug the timer and fan so that the fan runs 24/7 and doing so i had to turn the light on and off a few times from plugging and unplugging but it only lasted a minute i doubt it hurt them any cause they were not in darkness long enough to think its night time / sleeping long enough to "have a rude awkening" disturbed by the light im sure that was ok thats more like a few clouds crossing or an eclipse but they look good to me!
 
yeah just try to keep em on 12/12 should be fine also it matters if your plants are healtty or not the healthier a plant is id guess itd be able to take more stress
 
Thanks Everyone - Been reading up and this has happened plenty - some folks think its not a big deal as long as it didn't go on too long, some say if it shows any signs of reveg, harvest immediately since the outcome won't be good... - My plants are good and healthy, so hopefully they'll just sail through the experience unscathed. I'll post pictures later (after they wake up ;)
 
Yes you can plant right into the soil . I don’t germinate my seeds anymore . I just plant then in the rockwool and wait for them to pop up .
 
I am new to Cannabis so this will likely be an easy one for most of you to answer. What is the best cannabis school to go to? I want something online if possible, or at least in SoCal If not online. Can anyone tell me if they have any good experience with Michigan State, Fremont College, or UCLA?

He asked if it will kill the curing process, the article says after curing for 4 weeks...idk man im gonna look in to it. I live in Caribbean Islands, we don't get freezing temps. But it will be good to know.
 
You're absolutely right. My response was to you writing that it would "burn" the bud. I just wanted folks to know that you can freeze bud for long-term storage.
 
Hello everyone. I'm. Beginner I don't wanna say complete newbbut I could learn some stuff.
I have a 4 month old unknown strain girl that I think is doing decent she just started flowering. She was inside and slowly transitioned to outside until she was permanently put outside.
she's doing good I would say my only question is about pruning trimming thinning out whatever you want to call it. She's rather leafy and I know that affects light absorption.

what should I do as far as trimming or pruning? I am attaching pica of entire plant the top 2 colas and the flowering spots so you can see how far along she is. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

Hey guys! Hassinator here posting from the great state of Alaska. I have browsed forums for the last couple years but have never joined up until now and I’m pretty excited. I have a few grows under my belt using t5ho lamps for both veg and flower and have had pretty good results. I am currently growing a strain called Ak Gorilla. It’s a cross of Gorilla Glue #4&Ak Blackberry. I am growing her in a box I made.... Yup a pot box. She’s just starting week three in flower and if I can figure out how to do it,I’m gonna start a grow journal with pics on this site. Anyway, I do have a question. I’m a defoliator (I can hear some groans) and I have done it very successfully...... and also very unsuccessfully. I usually do a final selective defoliation at the end of week three of flower. So,how much is too much to take then and what should I absolutely not take. I don’t want to take the wrong fan leaves at this point. I have taken the wrong ones before at this stage in the game and it made me sad. I’ve also nailed it here and got crazy yields back for my efforts. I’m just not sure what I did differently. Oh yeah, it was the same strain both times. Thanks guys! Happy growing.
 
Hello GeorgiaGrower. She looks healthy, but I wouldn’t prune/defoil her. Doesn’t have enough leaves to block out much light. That’s just my opinion, hope it helps
