What is your biggest question about growing cannabis?

20972 welcome to the machine I mean GWE. I wouldn’t worry about it, if you FIM and mess it up you can always top the plant. What I found trickier was using the twisty ties but I was surprised how resilient the plants were. I really didn’t have any trouble once I did one or two twisty ties. No I don’t want to give you the impression that I’m any expert. Yesterday was the first time I FIM’d and bent my 4 plants. It’s a learning process.
 
Nutrients ???? Biocanna
there are so many nutrients out there I got overwhelmed with the amount, I am using biocanna soil with bio Vega , bio Flores and bio boost. Only seedlings at moment so not adding Vega yet but has anyone used these products if so how did you get on with them are they any good??
 
Paracelsus here, I need a quick answer about the Veg light period. Since day 1 my lights have been on 24/7 but this afternoon I have a visitor coming for a housing inspection I have once every 3 years. I want to put the plants in the closet while they are here,

5 hours at the most.

In the unlikely event they arrive on time it could be as little as 15 minutes until they leave. They are giving me a 5 hour window in the afternoon when they will arrive.

What I want to do is put them back on 24/7 as soon as they leave.

1) Will that stress the plants?
2). Will the plant at just less than 26 days above ground go into flower with 5 hours or less of total darkness?
3) Lastly can I go back to 24/7 or do I have to stay on 19/5

I've never grown inside, so take my opinion with a huge grain of salt haha.

I think there won't be any problems. The plant needs less than 12 hours to start flowering (unless they are autos), so it shouldn't be a problem. It's just not going to grow as much as when you give them 24 hours of light per day. I think you can easily go back to your normal schedule. I don't think it'll stress the plant enough for you to notice any changes. 5 hours of total darkness is not enough. 1 full day might confuse them.

I've read somewhere it's actually good to give some "rest" to your plants, not bombarding them of light 24 hours 7 days a week. Usually 4 hours rest and 20 hours light, i've heard, gives best results. Then again it totally depends on your preferences and experiences! :)
 
No they will be fine! Many people believe a lil dark is appreciated by them. I have messed my lights a couple times and didn’t seem to bother them anyway. Good luck friggin life getting in the way of our gardens is just not acceptable 😂
 
Thanks Minoo96 & BlueBudz They are in the closet and it’s 130 and the last time they scheduled this appointment a month ago they didn’t show I sure hope it doesn’t happen again because I really want to get started constructing my build in the rest of the apartment thanks for your help guys
 
I don't think it's too good to be true, otherwise bees also would be too good to be true... But it's true, how come it's so good is a genuine question. Why is it so good and called weed instead of miracle plant? (It's not soooo miracle, but damn it's good...)

Anybody know anything about Thai Stick seeds a company called ACE Seeds used to have it eveybody is sold out Would like to find some????
 
Thai sticks was an early marketing ploy were they took manicured bud and wrapped them around a stick with a piece of hemp. Good bud but not a specific strain and not from Thailand, they also called them Buddha sticks

Is there any reason why this fruit punch auto haven’t stretched at all?...she was stunted at a about a week old but now it’s like 3-4 weeks old and it’s just bushing out and not getting taller...profile data says it’s a medium height strain,roots seem to be doing well,finally got ph to stabilize at around 5.8-5.9,as far as I can tell I have no other issues w new growth but it just keep making leaves and stem is still thin....running w Tap water,do plants start this short or is there something I’m missing or doing something wrong

Some information about your grow would help.
What kind of lights are you using how far from the plant is the light are you growing in soil, are you growing Hydro, are you growing in cocoa and Hydro you get my point. There is a sticky about guidelines for posting questions give it a read and repost your question that way will be able to give you the most accurate answer.
 
Paracelsus sorry man im in dwc bucket (thought u could tell from photo,my bad) in a 2x5 w a 600wat led,light is as high as it can go at this point and she is roughly 3.5 weeks old from seed
 
Bring the led down to 30 inches then after a couple days if you don’t see any burn go down to 24 inches. Are you running your lights 24 hours or are you on 18 and six or 20 and four. I’d run them 24/7. Keep water temps around 68F DWC likes a constant cold temperature must keep it below 72 with little variation. You didn’t mention nutes.
 
Paracelsus i tried the water bottle trick to keep water temps down and honestly its a pain in the ass,was looking at nebula's grow and she said she didnt worry bout water temps too much as long as environment was good for plants then it would be OK for the roots ..im using 3 part GH nutes + Hydrogaurd (as recommended by Nebula) to help w high water temps ( my water temps be High 70-80ish ),yes bout lights i am on a 18/6 and i did move down to about 18" before reading this.If i see burn ill raise.Temps are 81-84f (lights on) and 77-79 (lights off) at 40-50%rh...my water temps be High 70-80ish..dont know if u can tell from pic but lower leaves are light yellow from seedling problems..is it ok for me to trim them off?,theres shoots forming by the nodes of the yellow leaves..by trimming the yellow leaves will that mess up the new shoots?,like are the feeding off those leaves or by trimming the yellow leaves will that put more energy into new shoots? and TY kindly for your help.
 
So it is fair to say your average water temperature is 80° or very close 24/7. That’s too high IMHO.
Inturn having too high of a water temperature can cause lockout of needed nutes in your water solution. Reach out to some others who do DWC for guidence.
If there is little difference in your lights on temperature versus lights off temperature I would increase the amount of light your plants are getting. I’m not sure what the par values are on your light and if it’s a true 600 W but if it If it is even close to 600 W that should be sufficient light for your footprint. Without bringing the light fixture closer the only option you have is to increase the light period.
