What is this

🌱 If it makes you feel better, the person I was talking to was saying these bugs are in huge numbers all over the east coast right now. Something about the current weather conditions happens to be just right for them! 🌱

No not really better lol , what would be a good preventitive measure to keep most bugs off? I was reading that a mixture of soap an water spray every so often or sand in the top inch or 2 will keep most away... any thoughrs?

blazed now you know what they are you can figure out how to kill them, you may have to go after the adults, then teenagers then nymphs never had them but will definitely keep an eye out for them good luck

I ain't never been scared of bugs but I'll be damned if I ain't scared of that one ,nasty, horrific looking bug, sure don't want that kind to come to my neck of the woods .Like OJH, said now you can figure out how to get rid of them, Good Luck 227

berrypilot it's actually a pretty freakin amazing looking animal, isn't it? I was thinking of making a poster or something; I really rather fascinated by it. (But I still want them all dead on Blazed's plants...

Blazed227 No, the jumping ones that are soft and white are the mealy bugs. Read the insects page on GWE, because there are some products that are better to use in flowering than others, that you don't want to use in flowering.

I think it was GanjaGed who posted an article on H2O2 recently: you might read this and try it:

Peroxide helps heal sick plants
In particular, a peroxide is a great option for treating root rot. If your soil is too compact, root rot can develop. Use 3% hydrogen peroxide mixed with water (one part peroxide to two parts water) and pour it over the infected roots of your plant.

Nix mold and mildew with peroxide
Moisture, dirt, and heat can combine to create some nasty mold and mildew situations. Get rid of mold and mildew by mixing 10 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide in a liter of water and spray daily until the mold/fungus goes away for good

Treat your water with hydrogen peroxide
Make the water you feed your plants a little healthier, by adding a bit of peroxide with the water in your watering can before applying to your plants and lawn. The peroxide removes chemicals and pesticides from tap water, making it healthier for your plants.

Peroxide works as a rooting agent
The key to a strong, healthy plant is a good base (the roots). Give your roots a boost by dosing them with a little bit of peroxide. This can also help revive limp leaves. Spray a peroxide/water solution into the solution into the soil around the plant.

Peroxide keeps bugs away
Skip expensive chemicals at the store and spritz your plants with 1% hydrogen peroxide to keep bugs at bay.

Peroxide can prevent infections on cut plants and trees
Treat infections on plant leaves or roots with a spray of water and peroxide to disinfect the area and prevent the disease from spreading. You'll want to douse the area with a lot of the water/peroxide solution for the best results.

Peroxide help seeds grow faster
You can speed up the growth of seeds by soaking them in a weak solution of water and peroxide for a few minutes before rinsing and planting.

those are the same bugs i just seen the other day. what a coincidence you have them too..thought it was mold at first, then looked through the scope and the little bastard started moving. i really need to inspect all plants thoroughly and get rid of them. are they bad for cannabis?

Yea, well apparently a mix of soap an rubbing alcohol will kill them.. the alcohol lets the soap get in an kill them.. only found one in my tent. With tje vegging plants.. sprayed them real good last night, on a positive note my 2nd attempt at cloning was successful... well 2nd time cloning first time monster cropping.. there lookin pretty good, weird leaves tho lol herea a few pics of my clones an the rest in the tent. An y did my flowering plants start sprouting new leaves out the top of the buds? It did it on all ofem .. an there is 100% no light leaks at all.. they were fox tailing but didnt think leaves would grow out the bud like that

I was usin roots organic nutes with the hpk booster an was giving it the grotek bloom booster like every 2 feedings not waterings feedings an was doin water ,fees,water,feed.. they actually grew a stem an 2 new 1 bladed leaves out tje top of every bud.. on every plant.. almost like thwy were revegging.. i went in the flower room all diff times of the day during dark time an there was no light at all so i dont kno why they looked to be revegging

🌱 Could it possibly be a really weird fox tail? Sometimes plants do the same things, but it looks really different based on the strain. Is it happening the most on the buds that are closest to the light?

Is there any chance there's a light leak in the grow tent, even a blinking indicator light or something tiny like that?

Edit: One other thought, sometimes broad mites cause twisting leaves? But I've never seen any pictures of it on a bud, only on vegetative plants, so that's probably a huge stretch.🌱

The hps was only about 12-14"" away.. no its not a foxtail, its literally a stem. An 2 leaves on ALL buds noy just the closest to light.. i chooped them already just wanted to yet some ideas y it happend.. 3 diff strains an 4 of thre 6 plants did it.. no light leaks ive went into the flower room all times during the drk period an didnt see ANY light an any indicator lights or anything is covered

Hey 227. Don't know your whole grow but sounds like to me she went thru a heat stress for a while , did you monitor temp an humidity the whole grow?

Yup, the whole grow, temp did hit 90 once or twice for ahout an hour an humidity did go up some when it rained but never for an extended period of time.. i thought thats what it was to so i moved the light up when i first started seeing the new growth but was to little to late

berrypilot , no 2 were.. they were from barneys farm.. anothr strain i was gonna run (cookies n kush) from them also but only 3 sprouted an they were supposed to be fem but all 3 were male
