HELP! What is happening with this plant ?

Hi there.
I have 2 plants growing outdoor, they are amongst a row of tall lilies and about 2m apart.
One is budding nicely, but the other has a lot of single blade leaves and is flowing quite differently.
What is happening with it and what should I do ?

Just theorizing here, because I don't know for sure. But aren't rounded leaves supposed to be a sign of re-vegetation ?
Are both of them same seed type ? If not, I would guess the outdoors light schedule is messing with one of them, if they are photoperiod.

Let's see what the elders think !

By the looks of the single leaves and caylx stacking it may be trying to go back into vegetative stage. May be a Mutation of the strain. What strain is it?
 
Looks like it has revenged at some stage. Smooth and single leaves are a give away.

Did you start it indoors under lights?
 
They are both the same strain, as far as I know., but don't know what strain.
They were both germinated from seed and started under florescent light for about 6 weeks before going outdoor.
Anything specific I should do - or just keep nurturing it along ?
 
Leave them outside and just keep them going as normal.
If you start indoors under light you need to get the light schedules right and the timing right when transferring outside or you risk this issue you appear to be having.
Normally it's only a problem if you flower them indoors then transfer to outdoors to early in the season. Not sure why yours went like that.
It's not unusual for a plant to enter flower outdoors and reveg, doesn't happen often but it can and does happen.
 
I agree, looks like reveg, watch for the flowers to die and need to be removed to prevent bud rot. What is the hours of sun and dark? Is there light pollution?
 
I'm closed minded and live in a small, controlled environment. I can't see how 6' of outdoor separation would make that much difference.
But, hey...
 
definitely reveg. Some plants are more sensitive to the light. I went thru it once despite being told by SoOrbrugal (sp?) that it wasnt worthwhile in her mind after going through it. after all the loose little buds, mainly suitable only for edibles, i wished i had just restarted. took almost a couple weeks to get growth back to normal, then had to go through the whole veg time again. if i had started a new plant, timing would not have beem much different and I would have had a better plant. Oh, and the taste was somewhat off due to many of the original trichomes being very ripe. Good luck, and i am curious how it works out for you.
 
Growing photos outdoors doesn't really lend itself to a restart when well into the flowering part of the season unfortunately.
 
Thanks all for your insights. I am in the southern hemisphere, Auckland NZ, so might be a bit of a hike for some of you.
Anyway, could be light issues - I have both a few meters apart in a row of lilies along the fence, but one of the neighbours switching on a light could make a difference, maybe,
But as Bluey suggested, seems not uncommon.
I'll keep going till harvest and keep the yield separate so I can compare. Might only be good for edibles, but that's ok, too :)
