What happens to an auto that is switch from 12/12 to 20/4 ?

Well- no one seems to know and there is limited information available, so here is the scenario.

1 auto lemon skunk from seedsman that started in 20/4 for 1 month and then was moved to 12/12 for the past 24 days, as I needed the tent space.
Currently in week #3 of 12/12 in full flowering mode- Day 55 from germination and buds formed, nicely.

I plan to switch BACK to 20/4, for my "perpetual auto grow" within the next few days and let her finish up.

Will it continue to grow or will it return to veg or just stop doing anything?

No Pics for this one now, as nothing to see, small auto with 5-6 bud sights looking short/but healthy.

Anyone want to toss their thoughts into the post- be my guest and we will all know in the next couple of weeks.
 
my guess is those 8 extra hours of light are going to help the plant produce more buds faster, i don't think they'll stress or anything, for a ruderalis this is just the end of winter and beginning of summer
 
Personally- I am in the "total light" is what counts and it doesn't really matter how or when it gets light during flower!
It will remain under the same light, same tent etc.. so only variable will be the timer.
 
More light = more bud, I would however introduce it to them slowly over a course of a few days a dimable ballast would do the trick if available ? My .02 cents

yeah more light, more bud with autos. Won't go back to veg. they flower independent of photoperiod.

Hi, i don't think anything bad will happen, but you might notice her stretching a bit. Autos are not relying on amount of sunlight they get to know when flowering. But they do have some genetic of photos, so maybe she will notice that the days are starting to get longer instead of shortening, she might be a bit confused and produce some leafs/stems when she could have focused all her attention on buds... It's just a thought, most probably she'll love the fact of more sunlight, and will simply become bigger than what she would have been under 12/12.
I agree with potted, trying to make the change slowly could be worth trying. (over the course of a few days, not more)
 
Keep the thoughts, ideas ( in my case- guesses) coming!
It's in day #1 of 20/4 - no easing into the new light- just continued through the night last night.
I did have to remove the 150w red UFO and it's just under the main LED @ proper distance.
 
Nice topping job on the auto,when did u top her? I'm mean at what node it looks like its about to take off !:) good luck
 
Not topped, just laid over on it's side-
This was my mutant grow which has been stunted for unknown reasons and well into flower now.
 
Curious as well. Have 4 Blue Dream Autos on 12/12. Would like to switch to 20/4. Keep up informed. Thanks.
