Hello GWE, how is everybody?.....I hope the answer is everybody is good :p:p
After my home made reflector(mk1+2)received some likes/laughter/critism I thought i might share my latest invention with you lovely people, so here it is:::

I have used an empty and cleaned mastic tube , drilled small holes along one side only and placed it at the bottom of the pot, holes up, and cut the pot so both ends are exposed, every so often I cap one end off with my hand and push the plunger back and forth, capping off alternate ends, the theory behind this is to deliver more oxygen straight to the roots, any thoughts much appreciated :p:p:laugh::laugh::big-smile:

P.s if this method is already a thing, I apologize for boring everybody lol😂😂

Novel idea. I suppose that having a soil that can aerate well after watering would do the same.

I've never seen anything like that. Cool idea. Question though, when you water, does and run out the ends of pipe? For experimental purposes, you would need to grow to plants identically with the pipe being the only difference to see if it has a noticeable positive affect.

Thanks mate, I think the theory behind is sound but the engineering ....... don't know lol...I had the idea and grabbed anything I could to make it....nothin a little R+D won't fix:)

shit.....why didn't I think of that!!!!!..never mind see how this one goes, in answer to the question yes water does come out but its just drainage, if you wanted to stop it I suppose you spin the pipe round:)

A big thank you to all who posted on my crackpot idea......😃😂🌱🌿🌲....growers love everybody😃

Keep the DIY's coming man!Very creative and very good idea!I thought of doing the same thing to my regular plant soil pots for two plants so the water would go down to all the soil instead of go out the sides and down the drain!Instead i ended up poking holes with straws in the soil about an inch deep and left them like that so water sits in different puddles along the surface of the medium! Thanks again for sharing ;)
