What do you do for a living ?

Army medic, accidental IRS employee. I wrestled insane murderers in a state mental hospital for most of my working career. After I retired I managed a retail nursery until my redneck boss pissed me off one final time. My wife and I also ran our own wholesale cactus nursery as a sideline for a number of years.
 
Hello All, Navy Veteran (Electrician), Electronics Technician (Muti-Million Equip), Self-Employed Also (Owner of a custom garment & product company). Like to call myself a modern day renaissance man, haven't tried much I'm not good at!!

This is my first post and plan to make a formal intro in a few. I'm currently a little over 60 days in my first grow. I have a journal that I am planning on posting also.

Hey dontknownuttin, Merry Christmas. Hope all is well with you and yours. I had a friend back then that owned a headshop in Sacramento, CA. He was also partners with his Dad in a wholesale paraphernalia business. They manufactured the Big Bambu album and the giant rolling paper. He was proud of that. He eventually made so much money from his enterprises that he sold everything off, bought a couple thousand acres in N. CA and vanished. Don't know what ever happened to him. Still love Cheech and Chong. Thanks for the memory.
 
thanks, alltatup. true that. also, the bifurcation of higher education...from mostly full-time employees vs. few part-time employees to the opposite, or from all subjects more or less equally "valued" to/hotdamn those science grants are HUUGE...
 
to all the vets, those who have posted and those who may be lurking....thank you for your service. i am NOT trying to start a political discussion, so please don't read that into this. but i just wanted to say i feel very strongly that our (US) government has seriously failed you, esp from about desert storm onwards with it seemingly getting worse and worse, on everything from acknowledging PTSD, much less treating it, to the clowntastic way the VA is managed, and seemingly no plan for reintegration/post-service job training and assistance. it's just *shameful*.

so i just wanted you, whoever you are, to know that for whatever it may be worth to you....
 
Which is why we in the Humanities make shit wages... I seriously wish I could retire and grow weed full time... I hate what higher ed has become.
