The fan leaves on my plants are turning purple from the inside out. I know it’s a blurp picture but the leaf actually looks like this in natural light. I didn’t find anything out about it on GWE. It seems to be spreading pretty fast. I’ve had some ph issues and I’m hoping it’s related to that and will correct itself now that the runoff pH is 6.5. Any ideas. Could it have anything to do with light distance? It’s hung 3-4” lower than the spec minimum.

Hey just wondering if we could get a pic with the flash on or a pic in natural light. Just to get a better idea. I have purple leaves lol but the purple sometimes highlights problems you can't see yet, then they look like a different problem compared to different lighting. That's one thing I like about LEDs they show you problems right as they start to show the first signs, before our eyes pick up they colour changes...I find my LEDs have to be higher than the low end specifications mine say min 24 inch and I keep them at 26 in veg then down to 2o to 22 in flower.

What is the cultivar? Some high in anthocyanin naturally. Can also be triggered by stress by light and cold. Korn

Thanks. I can’t get a pic under natural light right now but the leaf is top lit by natural light and looks exactly the same under 3500k. The leaf itself is color correct.

It could definitely be a strain trait. There’s little info about this strain online so I don’t know though. The smaller stems have been very bright purple from the start and it was professionally grown before I got it as an 8” clone. The fan leaf stems are bright purple still. (Viewed in natural light). Has not been below 60f dark and not over 78f light. The plants look extremely healthy and there’re no other visible signs of any stress.

Looks like it's just the purple from the stems making its way into the leaves. The rest looks healthy. Just nip em off and see if it keeps going to more leaves. Old leaves, mine have done that in the end of flower. Could be strain. I have plants going right now all purple stems from the main stock to the tips. And it transfers to some leaves on a healthy plant, I know purple stems can be a strain thing or plant is missing something nutrient wise. I'd just keep an eye on it for the time being. Hope it helps.

Jordann yes, that does help thanks. Most of the plants I’ve grown had purple leaves at harvest.
