What are the best seed banks?

Allenpro Interesting. I have had only good experiences ordering from Seedsman, but I can definitely understand why you'd feel the way you do. I'd probably feel the same way! There are too many other great seed banks out there!

ductwizard Great info. Thanks for sharing. That's super sketchy! Seeds not popping AND someone "happens" to use the same card on a gambling site. "We hope everything works out". UGH! Was that from Rocket Seeds you ordered those seeds from, too?

changeofpace2014 Glad to hear it finally shipped. I'd love to hear what happens with Rocket Seeds once the order actually arrives (if it ever does). But the customer service sounds INSANELY frustrating and questionable.

dirtymike I looked it up and a "cracker" is used to CRACK the seeds before germinating? Wow, that seems counterintuitive at first, but I can understand why it could be useful if the seeds are really hard or thick. I've learned a lot of things in growing isn't exactly intuitive, but the combined knowledge learned from the growers who forged the way already and found the secrets.

How exactly do you know which seeds to crack? And how much do you crack them? Do you just germinate them normally after that?

I reckon giving the edges a gentle sand with a nail file or Emery tape or fine sandpaper before soaking is heaps safer than trying to "crack" the seed before it's ready to open. I recently had to do this to several blue dream seeds and had good success once I realised that they had hard shells.

I crack one at a time at the edge so I can see when they first pop. Tweezer and a tissue work just as well, carefully though. Sand paper the split works also. Speeds up the germination process a little. Pops overnight usually.

When I can I prefer to buy from the local harware store over the giant suppliers, Lowes, Home Depot and Ace over here but sometimes the dollar takes over and if I can save a few bucks I will

I've got beans from them before. They carry DJ Short blueberry by advanced genetics. Nice easy grow. Took me a Couple of weeks to receive them.

You can fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time and that should be enough for any politician or sales person
