COCO COIR Week 4 Flower Questions

I am in week 4 of flower, how much should I be trimming at this stage? The leaves are very sticky around the developing buds and are really filling in again. Also, for some reason the tips on the left are yellowing, I moved the light up more and turned the fans down towards the plants. I tried looking at the color chart, but I am struggling to determine what the issue is.

You could defol both, more off the jelly, the blue dream I can see some leaves shadowing buds that should come off. Ive had equal results from defoling at the flip and then 2 weeks after and also not at the flip but 3 weeks after and another 3 weeks after that, I think it's up to the individual and what's going to work best for them.
The yellowing tips at week 4 of flower I wouldn't worry about very much, alot of the time leaves will start to yellow from now on anyway....
Plants are Looking nice and plump BTW.

You need to learn to do what you are comfortable trimming off. The bottom is cleared out well. At this point I usually thin out the center of fan leaves to keep air circulating. Then I look down from the top and select leaves that are blocking lower bud sites from light.

hey wayzee, when you take the leaves off do you take just the leaf or the little branch it's growing on?

I cut the stem of leaf as close to the shoot coming off the branch as I can without accidentally clipping the shoot, unless it's a shitty looking shoot then I cut that off too. Over time the little nub that's left drys up and you can brush it off with your finger.

Thank you, I did this right when I flipped to flower, I wasn’t sure how much I should take off at this stage without possibly hurting them.

I’ve been trying to find that balance between clearing enough for airflow and light, but not overdoing it and stressing the plants. Looking down from the top to see what's blocking the lower sites makes a lot of sense going to try that on my next round of trimming.

Start tucking the big fans. It isn't going to produce anymore leaves for photosynthesis. Push what you can downward. If it's a Auto I would not pluck a single leaf.Looks good, stay the course.

I take the remove as little as possible only what is necessary approach. Both methods work well if you can maintain good climate, great airflow and lots of light.

Bluey made a good point, lots of light (correct ppfd for stage) with air movement and less humidity.

Under canopy lighting is a better solution than opening up the canopy. You really want a full canopy to catch all the light from above.
