The last game I played was Island Paradise from Meteor games. Was the only one I paid some money to. Sent them like $5 and never got what I paid for, but my bank did get my funds back so no worries there. All I know, two weeks later, the game just vanished and found out the whole place got shut down without a single word. These games you would raid other people and steal things, but you never really stole from them. They always kept their own property and the server would generate a % of loot to the winner without hurting the victim. Games now a days don't even tell you this, but you could end up paying like $99 for a fantastic gold pile of 75 million gold, which tells you it will take 2 hours to show up in your account, but during that time, it can be selected in multiple raids and by the time it does show in your account, you'll be lucky if you have 5 million left.
