Water feeding v foliar spray

Alternative? Wow I wouldn't think so but mother nature is amazing. You see plants growing out of rocks they're getting water from somewhere right. I would say that it is a good possibility 🤔

No. Part of the spot issue i currently have, my opinion, is from nutrients splashing onleaves during watering. Leaves process light for the plants and "exhale" oxygen, totally opinion on my part, but after spending a month thinking on and researching this question, I feel its not advantageous. Maybe even detrimental to your plants. A clear water spray before lights out, if low RH, may be beneficial, but feeding through leaves isn't effective from my experience.

Here's an article after I decided to do a little googling. I know folks do it but not to what extent. It looks like foliar feeding is a real good thing but it can't replace what's going on with the roots. One thing that stands out to me is that it's a great way to get Ca and Mg to your plant. CaMg seems to be a big issue with lots of growers.
