Water before planting seed necessary?

So I’m a first time grower, growing autflower. Me medium consist of 50% mixed compost soil ,30% coco and 20% perlite. So the soil was moist already but not wet also the same pot it’s coco. But I forgot to pour water before I put the seed. So I Watered after around 30-40ml. I had kept my seed in water glass for 18 hrs. And I’m using fabric 3gal pot.
So what should I do, I’m really flipping? I just started and made a mistake. What should I do now? Water a bit more? Thank you

Just use a spray bottle.
And spray where you plantet the seed. Just keep it moist.
you don’t need to water the whole pot:)
I’ve always start in my final pot, 40 L. And using the spray bottle up to 2-3 weeks after it sprouting through the soil.

To add to this, if they get big enough that you get tired of using a spray bottle, you can use a plastic water or soda bottle. Get a needle and poke 5-6 holes in a small circle towards the top. You can fill it with water and squeeze it around your seedling like a small watering can. After so long the spray bottle starts to make my hands sore so I switch to that method.

Okay. I did a little spraying but not much. Because I’ve wasted 3 seeds low this is my 4th try. It’s been 21hours now now sign of sprouting yet. Will wait a day or 2 S hoping for the best
