My medical prescription would cost me $3600-$5000 per year. My first grow setup and operating expenses immediately paid for itself in one harvest. Been saving money ever since by growing my own. The $$ saved has been sunk back into my home (renovations) and helped pay off debt.

It is a relic :), think I had a choice of about 2 scientific calculators brands when I went to college, TI or HP was about it.
My roomy had an HP, can remember it had a game built into it, I was jealous with my TI (vbg)

Damn Catfish22, Ask her if you can vote for her if she is not on here and relate a little of her story. We need it for the archives, lol! Besides it's starting to scare me to be the eldest person reporting! :speechless::doubtful:

Awww Mann, just when I thought I was done with all that stuff and had time to myself JeffInCanada and MrPNW, You guys want to make me work again, lol. Actually I'm starting to get inspired to write another book. How about 'Sixty Years of Cannabis - High History' as a working title? Hippies, Free Love , Woodstock, Drug Wars; plenty of material for sure including all the stories that could come from this forum and from Sirius and Nebula about the start of GWE and the growth of the forum. Hmmm I might give this some serious thought....might take me the rest of my time just to compile all the material. Maybe I'll start my outline tomorrow...OK, I'm out of smoke so I'm gonna go clip an immature bud and quick decarb so I can dream about it. Did it a couple weeks ago and got a nice little buzz, lol!

While I read your line, ‘Hippies, Free Love, Woodstock, Drug Wars,’ I thought the next line was going to be, ‘I cant take it any more...We didn’t start the fire...’ as Billy Joel was singing it in my head.

It’s late...I’m buzzed.

Hello all my growing neighbors 🙂

I'm in the 41-50 for a few more months anyway. I've been growing since 84 I got into some trouble and had to go into hiding. Moved up to the mountains outside of Redding Ca. with my aunt, I thought my life was over but once I got there I found out she was running a guerrilla weed farm. I was instantly addicted to growing and have been doing it off n on since. It's legal here but only with a Rx and a grow card issued by the state health department. I grew guerilla style (didn't know until today it had an actual name I've always called it growing in the great outdoors) in the Sacramento mountains of Southern NM until 2013 when my heart shit the bed. While in that bed for nearly 3 years I read about growing (was amazed by how open everyone was talking about weed) and pretty much found out I didn't know shit about it. I started growing indoors March three years ago reading through this forum for over two years before I finally got up the courage to sign in a talk to you guys n gals and I'm sure glad I did.

Well i'm sure glad you did MeEasy it's kinda fun being outlaw. Late 70s we were doing the same. We got lazy did not get busted but got ripped off. We found the fella, we did nothing about it. Later he was in a awful car accident we had heard. It kinda put our heads back to keeping just enough to grow for ourselves. But boy do i enjoy this indoor growing during winter, really glad i'm here also.

I'm sure glad you are as well, I've learned alott from you and it's fun joking around with you. Thank you

Well "old enough to know better" hmmm maybe. I'm still the oldest. 75. 1966 was a great year to turn 21 and discover pot. Been computing since 1981. I'm just like old Willie said in his song. "after taking several readings I'm surprised to find my mind still fairly sound". Grow in peace. Spread love.

I'm glad you guys are here. You both have taught me alot. Plus you guys and the rest of the crew around here are fun.

Great Catfish22, I can't vote again either but at least we know she is out there doing her thing. Still would be fun to hear more of her story tho, Hippie Chicks do it better, lol! I used to live near Ken Kesey and visited his farm a few times. I met several of the Merry Pranksters there. He and Ken Babbs came to my print shop a few times in the 70's on business. They were real characters!
