looking for some opinions or reviews of vivosun leds and tents or any thing else they make. are they o.k. for beginers or what? thanks

They were my first tent in 2018 a 3x3x6’ and I was happy for the price. My understanding is they have really doubled down on their quality in the last year or two.
I think Shane over at Migro has done some recent reviews, he’s very reputable

I've had their 6" exhaust fan on continuous grows for 3 years in a row so far. Used in a 3x3 tent for a year or so and since has been in a walk in 4x8 tent. Still rolling. I vote for a larger fan so it works less but that's just an opinion. For sure sucked the walls in on the 3x3 haha.

thanks for the info i've got time to make a decision, i'm gonna do an out door grow for now but they keep sending me coupons so i thought i'd ask for advice

I've got all Vivosun stuff. The LED lights are fine. No complaints. I've had my tent (5'x5') setup for 5+ years now and the only thing I can say bad about it is that the front zipper is now malfunctioning. I had to rotate the entire tent 90 degrees so I could utilize one of the side flaps to get in and out. But, what can you expect after 5 years of zipping, unzipping, etc. Things wear out. Everything is going strong. The air filter motor's bearings are a little noisy on startup but they fall into place after about 10 minutes runtime. Again, something I consider to be a wear and tear issue. Not an inherent malfunction,

Don't skimp out on the light. That is the most important part of your indoor setup. I use spider farmer and have not been disappointed. Idk about vs lights, never used them. As far as the tent is concerned, that is a place where money can be saved. I used the cheap one from fleabay. Still working after 5 years.

you read my mind, i was thinking about a 2x2 or 3x3 tent pkg. but they all come with 100 watt lights. i was leaning more towards 300 watts and just toning it down. i might even move a non load bearing wall to get a bigger tent. might skip the in line fan as i don't care about the smell, but have 20+ yrs. as a hvac mech. so i'll prob. fig. something out. thanks for the info

Consider a 5x5. about the same $ as 4x4, much more room. You don't have to fill it up, but I bet you would. you will need some kind of exhaust fan. Doesn't have to be filtered, but you need to move moisture out of the tent.

I am not a fan of them or anyone that subs out their product to the lowest bidder. I have bought a lot of thier stuff over the years thinking I was saving a buck and then end up replacing it. I have never been satisfierd with their electronic equipment it never lasts for me. If this is your first grow go cheap and if you find you have a passion for it after a few grows replace the junk and buy quality equipment as you can. Do not go from Bottom line gear to slightly better and so on and so like I did, you waste a lot of money and space.

yeah i think it's pretty much the same with anything, bite the bullet once and get it over with. tiny upgrades would prob. annoy me anyway i just gotta wait til i get some jingle and pay up. thanks

I like mars hydro, but vivosun have good quality stuff from what I know. I bought the vivosun 645w led for Christmas. Well the driver and light bars get really hot. The driver can burn your hand. It gets hot on 80% and I can't even get it up to 100% without being up into the 90°f
I am buying the parts to make a driver extension cable that way i can remove it from my tent.
besides that I like vivosun products. I prefer mars hydro for the budget stuff.

Never used their LEDs but I have a Vivosun tent and it gets the job done. I second Spider Farmer LEDs. I've had really good luck with them.
