Veg Time

I have struggled with vegetative time since i do the indoor thing now. Patience isn't my strongest characteristics. Is there a real key to the 12/12 switch. I seem to ruin autos or any sort of delicate strain. I have 5 now in veg. From Seed 2 at start date 3/6/23(day 43) - and 3 at start date 3/20/23(Day 29) Growing in coco, perlite 1 gal fab pots(move to 3 gal fab when switch)., berg mans starter/PH 6.3 in-6 out.. MH TS600-18-24" temp/RH extents so far 68/79f 48/80RH. I have topped 4 so far and they all healed up nicely.(5th node) They are at about 10-12 inches from dirt. Left the Pure Indica from seed supreme alone. Think ill plant that one in the city hall.LOL In your opinion do these look like they are ready to flip the switch?? Thanks Dirty

Love it about city hall heehee. I flip my photos at around 6wks it depends on how i trained them if there growing well. I fudged up my autos i think i trained them to hard shoot mine just don't get very big so lesson to me is to allow them the get 6" tall before i bend it over an tie down the sides. Some now i just don't train other than topping autos. But those photos well i wait till there fully LST'd an tied down give time to recover a few days then flip 12/12. I veg. my photos with the autos that are on 18/6. But i like my photos to get pretty wide before i flip and only do 4 at a time in my 3x3. Temps about 75-83f humidity right now 40% in my tent.

They look nice and healthy! Technically, you could flip them and you'd be good to go.

However, there are a few things to consider other than age and how tall they are when deciding to change to 12/12:
- The goal is to fill the tent so you have a nice solid canopy that utilizes all of the space and light in your tent...you have some time to go before it's fully filled.
- Connected to the above point, when you flip, they'll stretch which will help fill the tent, so you want about 75% full before the flip
- You will also need to consider how much height you have in the tent and how far away you need to keep the lights from the canopy. Start with the end in mind knowing that plants will at least double in height when you flip.

The goal in veg is to create the base of where all your yield will come from. Generally, the longer in veg and the bigger the plants are before the flip, the bigger the harvest.

You can switch after 4 weeks or when matured. Then you can choose to grow bigger or save a couple of weeks and go for it. Good Luck Peace Out
