Using AI to grow weed. Will it steer me wrong?

I'm new to growing weed and ChatGPT totally steered me wrong.

I wanted to help my seedlings grow fast and it told me to give my newly germinated seeds in wet paper towels a few drops of 3% hydrogen peroxide before moving them to rapid rooters. They were all dead by morning. Their little leaves just died 😭

Come to find out you're supposed to give a few drops of hydrogen peroxide BEFORE the seeds germinate. It kills them if it touches their taproot. ChatGPT failed to mention that, and even saw my seeds were germinated already in the picture.

Over $100 in seeds gone in an instant from that one dumb piece of advice, and I had to buy new seeds to start over. Now I'm scared to listen to ChatGPT for anything nevermind growing weed!

My next grow is going better. I'm focusing on following the 10 step grow guide on growweedeasy.com and using their website for questions. And this forum. And KISS. And "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

I just wish there was like a AI concierge to help find relevant info and instructions from growers. The only problem with websites and forums is it can be hard or time consuming to find what you're looking for.

Your on the right track now! We all learn from the bad mistakes that all the good growers on this site have experienced. I have tried H202 mixed in water (1:4) when germinating a bean for an 18-20hr soak before planting in soil. Its supposed to help soften the outer shell. I cant say it helped or hindered anything. I just plant my beans straight in to the final pot now days. The only pre treatment is to water in the soil a couple days before planting the bean and I also use a humidity dome. Good luck next time and keep trying!
