Upside down grow op?

So i have an idea to try to use gravity to help grow. I will start the plant off in a water jug up near the neck so the plant only has one way to grow. When the plant is past the neck and looking good i will flip the jug over and hang it with the light under it pointing up. I will make sure my shed is light sealed before hand. And opinions or ideas, especially for a watering system?

what's the point of growing it upside down?

Using gravity to help aid the growth process. Less energy spent forcing the plant up if gravity is pulling it down. Just a theory and wondering if itd make any difference.

It'd probably stretch more than you'd like, plus you'd be hanging a water jug above an electrical device.

Id keep the lights relatively close to keep it in a slower state. And i have the water drainage issue covered.

interesting, change never happens without someone experimenting, post some pictures . I've tried the upside down tomatoes never had any luck with them. looking forward to the grow good luck

Only stuff i like DAAS lol. But i have one of them water jugs with the long neck. Thatll control the drainage while keeping the plant kinda moist from leak down. I do think the drying/curing stage is going be a bit harder though.

Roots are programed to grow in the direction of gravity. You will have the Leaves and Roots both trying to grow in the same direction with any water you apply also going the same direction. Good luck.

Now what if you had the jug upright, but had the plant coming out the top and hanging down so the roots and the plant both grew downwards? Yeah?

Ya that would work, just thought look cooler with the plant coming straight down out the neck

hi kornbred. neat idea but you might want to have a look at this first. stems will always eventually grow away from gravitational pull.
