Upgrade CFL to LED

Galaxy hydro is a good cheap brand. You can get 2 300w lights for less than $200. Use your cfl lights for veg
.

Check Amazon. I got (2) Sygaled 300W, full spectrum for $79.00 USD ea, freight free (Prime Member). Week 10 of my first hydro grow and everything is going swimmingly. Booth is 2 x 2 x 6. I could guess these two light would do a larger booth. One light might be sufficient for 1-2 plants. I got two just to make sure.

Depending on your tent size- you may want to consider a Marshydro reflector 96- it has grow and bloom settings, that help conserve power and also can be used to control heat a bit.

Interesting.
Kinda loud. 58 decibels.
"Full spectrum" but only up to 3000K. 5000K is generally considered "full spectrum" or horizontal daylight.. You're missing a whole lot of red spectrum that's in sunlight.
Nice controls and chip.
250W for about $175.00 USD, plus freight.

Amazon/Sygaled is $160 USD for (2) 300W lights.
Totally quiet. Decibels must be about 10, although I haven't measured. But I can just barely hear the cooling fans.
I have a pretty open booth set up, with no noticeable heat buildup. I have not run these in a completely enclosed space.
They run very cool to the touch and the air coming out of the fans.

Teasing out what's going to work for individuals can be hard just looking at stats.

No stock in Amazon or Sygaled.

I got a 300W viparspectrum LED light on amazon for $90. They are on sale right now. Normally $150. Works great. UV and IR lights. Don't know if this will help any.
