Update on my mystery seeds

Setup: One smart pot and one regular pot, FFOF soil for both and feeding Grow Big on a normal schedule (letting both dry out a bit between waterings)

I've pretty much given up LST'ing my older plant; it's getting pretty lanky and out of control (window grow; didn't top it early enough). Right now I have a "harness" around the pot that I'm attaching ties to...not that it accomplishes much. I'm still trying to get good pics of that monster, probably tomorrow or my day off when I'm able to wrestle it down a bit.

This is the younger plant...I think it sprouted sometime in May. It's in a smart pot in a bucket with a single grow LED, was topped last month and bounced back quickly and and I am trying to train it (right now my system is twist ties and binder clips until I come up with something better). Plant height as trained is just under 9". I think it might be male ...but I'm not throwing in the towel yet.

I will need a grow tent in the fairly near future. I'm looking for something that will ideally fit under my desk (27" max height), but if need be I can go a bit bigger and stick it in a corner; I have no idea how tall this thing might get. Any suggestions? I know my single LED isn't gonna cut it for flower at all.

Hey WWW, The only thing I would say is that if you are going to go with something that's 27" tall to grow in, you should consider micro grows. That's not enough height to grow anything but really short plants.

Thanks; still getting the hang of everything. I didn't plan out the first one at all, this one's a little bit better, etc...it wound up getting taller than I'd like at this stage (currently when it's sitting in the space-bucket-I-was-gonna-build it's juuust below the rim), but that's probably my fault...or maybe the universe decided to call my bluff ("I can keep this one short." "Oh really now...?"). I definitely plan to look into microgrows after taking this one as far as I can; as I'm realizing I have less space to work in than I thought...

Dr. Bud GreenGenes is famous for the micro grow; check out this thread where he takes you through the whole process of keeping plants small with a single big ol thick cola on each one. https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=88449

He does it with clones, though. I believe that if plants are healthy and growing vigorously you can keep them relatively short if you switch to flower when they are short. That's what I did in my small grow box: switched them to flower at the end of week 3 veg, and they stayed short. See my C99, WW, BD grow.
