speaks volumes that Mr Bill Hicks is still considered awesome 25 or so years after i first saw some of his stuff - I'd love to know what he'd make of today's politicos.

Hello GWE, been away for about 3 weeks - very busy over here. Anyways here's an update on the girls - I have a feeling they're progressing kind of slowly (your opinions please.....) it's a stress as we have to prepare the oil soon or else our patient will run out and cancer will be untreated....
Do we think they're getting enough light? They all grew pistills without any change in the light schedule so must be autos (2 are unkonwn varieties).
Plenty of sun here though 20 degrees today.
It's killing us not being able to guess how far off harvest they are.

They all look pretty good except the one with the very thin leaves. Looks very stunned. Do you know what's going up?
in order to know how long til harvest you need to know how many hours the day has. Most strains will flower even under 14 hours of light. But the flowering gets really slow. Twice as much at least. So find out when the days are going to be 12 hours long and then count 10 weeks from there and there's your estimate. If you live in the northern hemisphere this may occur around august - sep

Thanks 9fingers for answering - i think they're all autos so (if i'm right and i'm not sure that i am) the light schedule shouldn't effect when they start to flower etc.
what i am most worried about is how long they're taking to get through the flowering stage - Green said at least a month when he commented in middle of Feb 3 weeks later and theyre moving on but not so fast.
I have no choice - we have to wait for them It's nature man. The stress is we're trying to treat my Mum in law who has extensive late stage cancer and if she runs out of oil the cancer doesn't get treated until these girls are ready to harvest.
Argh!

my CFLs are 1 x 375w equivalent (55real) and the other smaller - 250 equivalent i think for 4 plants....
perhaps the garden time is holding them up..

Hi Green - no problem with your advice or estimate, no criticism at all you've been extremely helpful - thankyou.
the only prob with sitting them outside is the nighttime temps - still sometimes 10 to 12 degress c - is that too cold for them?
i think they have to be auto as they grew pistills with no changes in the light schedule
2 are defo autos (as we bought them)

HI GWE,
well - i think we're getting there, it's been a bit of a slog but the leading 2 girls are definitely getting closer and the other 2 are showing good signs. This has been a good learning curve, also learned about not counting your chickens - the girls have been slower than expected - i guess due to nutrition and light mainly.
I may also have been underwatering a bit - which is a shame as the guides are pretty clear on how to water but i notcied after a real dowsing there was a real big improvement next day. Lso the sun has been out a lot more so like i said - we're getting there.
The RSO for our patient is at rock bottom and i estimate we'll need a couple more weeks before the harvest, then I'll be looking at speed drying for at least some of the herb and get that oil made.
More pics to follow internet permitting....
