Under watering? Overwatering? Too much sun? In need of nutes?

Ive got 3 clones that were given to me as a gift. This is my first grow and they are outside. Not exactly sure how old they are. I'd say somewhere around 6 weeks. I was watering every other day but from my research I cut it back to once every 3 days or so as from what I gathered most people water too much. It has been a little warm in my area the last week or so. High 80s and maybe touching 90. Plants are receiving light from about 9:30AM-7:00PM. Im not giving them any nutrients as of right now. They were transplanted 3 into 1 gallon pots with organic outdoor potting soil about a week and half ago. The symptoms were beginning to show just before I moved them into bigger pots. The lower leaves have dry spots and some leaves are turning yellow on the edge. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I've seen the same problem, I concluded that in my case it was because of pH fluctuation.
You're not under watering, that's for sure, more likely overwatering. (Water only when it become dry, don't set yourself a period before rewatering.) They cannot have too much sun unless you kept them under a maginifcation lens.
Potting soil should have some NPK by default, look on your bag of potting soil for those value. If they are low then maybe they would need nutes, but they don't look like they need nutes.
It looks more like they have a problem to create their roots, maybe too hot.
So i'd say Overwatering problem, with wrong pH? Have you checked your pH of water? I bought some 20 test, I test it from time to time, just to make sure I don't fu** it up again with pH fluctuation.
With what do you water btw? Tap water is not very good, you have to let it sit 24 hours or overnight for the chlorine to leave. Otherwise it'll attack your plants. Well water or bottled water or rain water are good.
