Trimmings

I didn't want to waste my trimmings so I've just put them in the oven to bake for a bit to activate more of the THC and CBD compounds and then I reckon I'll have a strawberry and cannabis milkshake to drink and kick back with some music.

I need to go shopping tomorrow for a small bong. My Mrs doesn't really like weed, so she didn't want me to have one but now she's agreed that it's better than me smoking tabacco with it in joints.

Do you need to cure the trimmings before they are heated or can you put them straight in off the plant?

I tried some neat in a one paper before I mixed it with milk etc and I was pleasantly surprised that, although it isn't the smoothest of smokes, it gives a nice mellow buzz so I think I'll just smoke it. I'm i tried it cause I was going to put the whole lot (about 1oz of cuttings) into one drink, and by the strength of just the one paper, I think I would have slightly over done it.

I did cure mine, I asked because I don't know if it was a necessity. One thing I noticed though, when I left it in an air tight container it seemed like it was beginning to 'mulch' so I took the lid off and left it and it then carried on fine

You do not need to cure for edibles. Curing breaks down chlorophyll and makes the smoking smoother.

Curing also changes part of the chemical structure of the plant. My sister moved from England over there to San Francisco and is now the PA for the head of the medical cannabis thing for San Francisco, Dr Marowitz or something similar to that and she was telling me how he discovered a compound that occurs after curing that he thinks will help diabetics. I'm sorry I'm a bit sparse with the details, there is a video on YouTube taken from the San Francisco morning news where you can see my sister and her boss explains things but I can't find it right now

I usually make mine into RSO (hash oil). Pretty easy to do and you have a lot of options when using it. I have been making mine into gummies so I can eat them at work. But on occasion I put a couple drops on a bowl and smoke it. I was going to keep a little bit as a tincture next time too. But I feel like it's more worth it to make it into oil than to just dry and smoke it. Just my opinion though.

I only grow 2 plants at a time because there is quite a difference between personal possession and possession with intent to sell in England, and with only 2 plants they'd be hard pushed to prove anything more than personal, mainly cause that's the truth. I grow as much as I need to last me until the next lot is ready. For this reason I don't have access to a glut of trimmings at one time so I don't think I'd even get half a teaspoon worth

I actually got a half tsp from trimmings off a few small plants (about .75 oz worth, maybe) and it's pretty good. You will probably get more if you have quite a bit of trim.
