Trim bin redeems itself: Gathering kief

I always thought the Trim Bin was way overpriced, but now I don't. I made the easiest and best resin ever this morning. I've hade dry ice hash a few times, but I found the process to be a total pain in the ass, and my final product was always brown and contaminated by lots of leaf matter: NOT THIS TIME!!! WOW. The Trim Bin does a fantastic job!!!

In case you're not familiar with the trim bin, it consists of two parts, the top bin has a stainless steel screen (150 micron). I have used it primarily for trimming bud, as it's very comfortable to rest my elbows on.

First I dried all the trim in my curing room: temp 68, humidity 50%. The above picture is the sugar leaf after I sifted like a gold miner for around 20 minutes. There was significantly more volume when I began, and quite a bit of the leaf did break, but didn't make it through the screen!!! I gently shook the bin and moved the leaves around with my fingers a little.

It just kept coming and coming!!! I'm delighted with the amount and purity. I just ordered a hash press.
 
bboyfromwayback When I think about the money I spent on dry ice hash equipment, I cringe. Well, it wasn't that bad, but the bags were such a pain to wash, and the dry ice was a pain to deal with, and clean up was also a pain, and my product never turned out right. Pain, pain, and disappointment.

So now I'm super happy with my trim bin.
 
Well shit! I got all the stuff to make bubble hash the other day, I just haven’t tried it yet so maybe I’ll just return lol I also ordered the stuff you need for nebulas’s canna caps and it’s in route. I’ll just make those and some butter then try hash later. GWE has me venturing out
 
I'm happy for you alltatup I prefer collecting dry than wet and beside I sometime cure my kief lolll Be safe !

Got my Nepal girls curing now !! A few more weeks before I collect their delicious trichies to make my hash.

Unless you just have to have it now, I would hold off and see if they run a sale like last year. December 14 last year I bought an Arizer Extreme Q for $189.99 and got the Air for free on their holiday BOGO sale. The deal was buy any Arizer vape and get an Air for free.
 
Thanks FBL, they got the solo2 on sale for 174bucks today, what is the air?
I can surely wait, if it helps some, cause we aint to rich in cash.
 
The Air is pretty much like a slim version of the Solo. It's a bit more portable but the battery doesn't last as long. The Air still has decent battery life but the Solo has a bigger battery. They have the same size fitting for the aroma tubes which is handy.
 
I love my trim bins! I bought 2 a few months ago. One for me and one for my honey. They work great. I haven't finish my outdoor harvest yet. About 1/2 way through. Ive got a nice size pile of kief ready to go into the jar. I ordered a hash press too. Should be here next week.
The bins are super convenient to use and the kief just collects underneath.
 
I ordered a cheapo off Amazon. T handle screw type. About $30. It had decent reviews. Alot of the reviews I read on some of the other ones said that the threads would strip out.
