Trigger lights and longer light cycles?

I’ve recently started using trigger lighting in order to put my ladies down and wake me up. Now I’ve heard I can run 14/10, as opposed to 12/12 percent high would give my ladies more light, so the question is: can I change light cycle periods after flowering has been in full effect. I don’t want to risk stressing them and ending up with Bernie’s so I may start next round at 14/10 and gradually work to 12/12 to simulate the end of summer. Help. Anyone with this knowledge please help a newb

I think that if you choose to run a shorter light cycle that it's important to know the actual amount of light(DLI) you're giving the girls. Having a higher intensity for less time gives the same amount of light as running more hours at a lower intensity. I think that as long as you keep at least 10 hours of darkness they normally flower.

I was actually trying to run a longer light cycle. The fact that you say they will still flower with ten hours of dark makes me happy. Thank you so much

I have had some plants that would continue to flower under 14/10, but some will veg out,,,, so I ran 13/11,,,

Thanks. Will have to wait until the next run to try 13/11 but will definitely give it a shot.
