SOIL Trichrome confusion!

I “think” this plant is ready?!
Most all the pistils are dark and curled. Leaves are yellowing and a few have pulled off easily. But the trichomes are my big question at this point. I’m seeing clear, cloudy, and a few amber trichomes. They are mostly just translucent. And I think I can see deposits of molasses in some of the trichome heads. But it’s the fact that so many are quite clear with 1or 2 ambers. Only a few white milky ones. My question is do I chop tomorrow, or wait for the clear ones to milk up?

i dont think your ready yet, i do see amber but on sugar leaves which always evolve quicker. Some are cloudy but i think you need another week+

It's all about what you want out of it sometimes, or the strain. You could wait and watch, another week or so never hurts. Your leaves are yellowing, they often lose more color than that. Or you could chop the tallest cola first and let the lowers grow longer if they're still clear.

Thanks for the responses. I’m inclined to let it go a while as well.
Found some suspected bud rut on another plant in the same grow room. I trimmed the crap out of that one and put it out in the sunny garden. Hope that saves her.
In this pic, Could that be molasses deposits that I was a bit too heavy handed with at first.

Also wondering if that purple in the other pics is a problem?

Hi, I have grown NL autos in each grow since I started. I just began grow 4 and grow 3 is about 4-5 weeks from harvest. Honestly 14-15 weeks from seed is really the minimum in my experience . I top mine and that along with transplant slows them up a week or so.

The first one I grew out naturally with LST and it was 84 days total with 49 days flower. It was good but could have done another 10 days easily. Be as patient as you can. It will be easier next time when you have a jar of buds!

Happy farming 🙂🌱

Yes Catfish, my bud count is very low...like the lower 1/4 inch of a 35mm film container! But honestly I can wait. I just don’t want to get too far over the amber line. For me at 69yo couch lock is OK and pain relief is more than OK.
BTW I don’t know how I put SOIL in the heading...Sorry for the dumb mistake.

Do you mean the trich heads or the leaf tip? Leaf trich heads get amber sooner. Purple happens, not a problem on leaves. When I dripped some molasses on a lower leaf the whole leaf tip was golden-brown coated.

Thanks Puglover1 for the info. I was referring to the purple on the leaf in one of the first pics in this post. Also, those brownish speckles in the tops of some of the trichromes does not seem like typical amber. It seems to me that typically, amber usually comes on evenly through the entire trichome not just speaks in the head? No?
