Trichomes. Clear or opaque

Hey guys.

you’ve all been such a great help so far first grow and I’m in week 7 of flower on a tangerine dream. She is a tall (5ft) lanky Sativa and I’m obviously getting anxious as I’m so close. She sprouted sept 4 from seed so it’s been a long time coming. I’ve had my share of issue but with the help of this forum it looks like my first will be a relative success.

My question is on my trichome development. I know week 7 is too early for most Sativa sand I likely have another week r two to go. However, if appreciate any feedback on whether these look clear or opaque, and how far along you see her being relative to harvest.

Hey newguy, when checking your trics you should look at the bud itself. The crystals on the leaves will turn amber way before the ones on the buds do.

Since you already commented I have another question as you obviously know your stuff.

Do you remove all the fan leaves at this point in flower.? Or at this point just leave them to fall on their own.

I just do a defoliation on the some of the big fan leaves. And tuck away others. I also stop defoliation at about week 4 of flower.
