Trichome Porn

I found some amber trichomes last night on one of my girls. I’m guessing I ignore them, as they’re on the sugar leaves, not buds? I’m going for all cloudy trichs. I want a super cerebral high. Does that mean my trim will produce more of a narcotic high than my buds if it ambers before my buds?

s62, When I see cloudy triches that are beginning to bend over, I harvest. Ed Rosenthal says harvest when they start to turn cloudy with bulging heads, and that's what I do; I don't wait for them all to turn cloudy, because I don't want the THC to start degrading.

You should see that almost all the stigmas have turned brown and curled inward. You might still see some new stigmas emerging as the plant makes a last-ditch effort to get pollinated. But basically the buds stop changing, the aroma is intense, you can see lots of trichomes.

But what about sugar leaf vs bud? I don’t want my thc degrading either, but it appears to be happening anyway :/

s62. This is why using sugar leaf for tincture, hash, and edibles is Optimum. You get more of a "sleepy" effect from the degrading THC becoming CBN .
You definitely want your buds to be the focus for ripeness and trim secondary but as a whole plant you can Harvest a multitude of different cannabinoids for multiple purposes at or around the same time.

Yep. I've been really happy with the genetics. This one is from seed and there was a learning curve with my light and tent, it'll be a meager harvest about four weeks from now. Her clones are storming along...(knock on wood), and that cycle should be a better harvest.

Holy shit, those are EXCELLENT pics! How did you capture them? I would LOVE to be able to do that.
