Trichome HD Close Ups

First one to harvest is getting the final chop and trim tomorrow. I took all of the fan leaves and larfly off tonight, shes only gonna get 12 hours of dark. Been fed only water and sugar twice and water with flawless finish once in a week. This is the 1 plant of the 2 that are the same strain. I wanted to pull one early and 1 later. This one is about 95%/5% cloudy/clear. No amber present at all. The second from this strain I will pull maybe 20% amber or so.

Pretty sure her take will me minimal. Theres more I think I could have chopped that wont amount to much. Still excited to get one under my belt. Plus maybe the extra time the others will fatten up a bit more.

Thanks everyone! I moved her to a dark room to get another 8 of dark or so so that will be like 20 hours. Gonna chop her and hang her when I get home from work tonight.

Got her hanging in my bedroom closet, as no tent is available to dry right now. Environment is not 100% desired but should suffice. Its 70° F and 40% RH. Im thinking with the lower humidity and smaller size of her buds she might only hang for 3 days before being jarred. Took about an hour of trimming.

UrbZ, I usually hang buds to dry in my cool room closet. Your environment doesn't sound bad at all. I was just drying in my closet at around 68 degrees and below 40% RH, and since it was so dry, I didn't keep the fan on much. They dried up real nice over 5 days. Your buds look AWESOME!!!

Thanks ATU!

Cool. I figured temp was good. Just a bit of low RH. I am happy with how she came out. Not the biggest of buds, but smells pretty potent and super sugary.
Now just waiting on the other 6 to finish up.

Thanks dutch, trimming is the one thing Ive had a bit of practice with. Was a trimming grunt a few times.

They turned out nice. Grew just as described, mostly grape sized nuggets. The longer cola kind of gave me a good goal for next grow. I would like to see that completely fill out.

Wow! You say only an hour of trimming? My wife and I spent almost 6 hours to get what is pictured below.

Maybe you should invest in an auto bud trimmer Danger. OJH seems to like his alot. If I had more to deal with I definitely would. I hear it wastes some good bud though.

Yea thats the worry i have with trimmers, i know some larger facilities use sheep sheering tools with success. However like i said i worry about the quality loss. I might look into it again though.

Yea it was only 1 hour for this plant. This was my most defoliated and smallest producing plant. I have 6 larger ones all coming off at once. I figure 6-8 hours by myself on those.

Ive never really seen an auto trimmer that I like personally.

Weighed and jarred my first plant. It seems to have lost its smell a bit, not too bad though, kinda has the smell of hay a bit. I figure once setting in the jar the smell would come back some. Pretty happy weight wise I got a bit more than I thought. Especially since this was my smallest plant. Came out to 45 grams. It might lose a few more gs during the cure but overall a good take. 6 more plants to go!

Well how about that. We jarred our harvest tonight. I always weigh AFTER the cure is complete. We’re in the same boat regarding smell. Why is that? It smells up the whole house while it’s growing but smells like......grass after we harvest. We got 4 full quart mason jars. Time to finish it off the best we can.

Grow well. Be well.
