Transplanting?

When transplanting using these fine soils. how deep in the pot do you bury the roots, do the root ball get buried below the soil line, even with top of soil, or root ball up out of soil, or just set root ball in and fill dirt up around them? maybe it's a silly question I just want to get it right the first try.

I dig a crater and plop the plant in the new container. If she looks good. I'll give a little wiggle and a slight twist (back and worth to settle into dirt ) to ground the root ball to the new dirt. Then fill in the gaps with new dirt and fill around the stem nice. Seems to work fine. All roots buried not exposed

Keep it simple. Just like any plant. Fill your new container about half full. Put your plant in there, still in the old pot so you get an idea. Add/remove soil. when you're happy with this pack it down lightly and moisten the soil with a few sprays of water. This helps firm it up a bit. You may need to add a bit more soil if it packed down a lot. Moisten soil if more added. Put your hand flat over your plant with the stalk in between your fingers. Flip the plant over and slide it out. May need to tug slightly on the stalk but if you don't feel comfortable you may need a butter knife or something similar to run down the edge between the plant and its container. Place the plant in the moistened soil and fill in the soil around the newly transplanted baby. Pack it all down lightly and give it a good watering.

If if you do this right your plant won't skip a beat. It may take a day or 2 to get acclimated.

Ive heard of people using superthrive to keep the plant from getting stressed. I don't know how the stuff works, but people swear by it.
