Total beginner

Im on my 1st grow, i have 2 questions for now. Can i germinate my seeds( paper plate style) then put them into a root riot cube, then into my medium? And do i have to ph water for germination and the root riot cube? Can i use hps lights from beginning?

I used hps lights from the beginning. It might slow it down a little at first but it will be fine . Just keep the as far away as u can . I germ first then put into cube . And I don’t know about root riot cubes someone else will have to take that one I use rockwool . I would ph all your water tho

I've done the paper towel to sprout then into rapidrooters as well as simply dropping directly into the rooters. What type of seed? What type of setup? I don't pH when germing out of convenience... I start pHing when the roots start coming out of the net pot

Just for safety sake I ph all water used from soaking seeds to final flush. It Can’t hurt and it’s no big deal to use PHed water for me lol

Yeah I'm with Potted, I ph my water too,even though those roots grow thru those rooters fast, I soak my rooters in 6.0 ph water with silica and superthrive added for an hour or two. I ain't no scientist, so I don't know if it helps or not, but it ain't hurt nothing yet, and they all seem to grow big ole stalks.
