Topping

I've got a question about topping I'm hoping you more experienced folk might be able to help with. It boils down to when is the latest point at which you can top your plant?

I have grown one plant that reached 40cm and the two I have currently look to be about the same but I have room for taller plants and I'm hoping that leads to better yields. So I assume I am topping too early.

You can top when it has a few nodes and sets of leaves present. You can top late in veg. I would try not to top for the last 2 weeks before flipping them into to flower or at any point during flower.

Stack the nodes high enough to utilize all the given light penetration. Good luck!
