Topping stems

Hey there... I've got two autos going, Bruce banner and gorilla zkittles. I normally top the main stem after 5 sets of leaves. Do you then top the the main branches? When? If so.

If you’re going to top an auto, which may or may not be a good idea , top the main stem once thats it. Yes 5th node is about right.
Maybe top one plant and leave the other and see which turns out better.

I am asking a question. I have topped most plants auto or photo with success..
I just see comments here suggesting topping branches and looking for suggestions.

Smallgrow is correct , maybe someone can suggest something to help you with the fungus gnats,I use lost coast plant therapy

I top my autos. Other people would disagree. That is the only topping I do for an auto. They don't have time to recover like a photo. That said, it is your grow, if you want to do multiple toppings go for it and post the results. You never know what results may come from a radical departure from the norm.

I experimented topping two autos out of three Santa Marta Haze this past summer. The two plants I topped produced a lot more bud.
I will probably top all my autos moving forward.
