Topping&cropping

Potted

Can't stop topping and super cropping my girls 4 girl scout cookies ready to switch to12/12 today can't wait to see them strecth up and get some buds looking for 6 to 8 oz. of dry if all goes well. I've tried to get 8 colas from each plant so far so good I should loliepop in about 3 weeks

My plants shake every time I grab my clippers, they know about my addiction, heard them whisper of restraining order last night...

I love that strain!!very easy to grow I got carried away myself and snipped off way to much. She bounce back in no time at all like nothing even phase her..

I'm not sure what lollipopping is? Removing all veg growth from below colas? What is the benefit of this, if you've already topped and cropped. Is this similar to Green's chickenboning?

I think the best way to explain in my current state is to draw an imaginary line horizontally across your plant. This line is where your light penetration suffers from diminishing returns due to inverse square law with indoor grow lights. Buds below this line will be small and airy due to light depreciation. Everything below this line gets whacked.

I probably just confused you...

The theory is that removing the stuff that wont get enough light to actually matter lets the plant focus its energy on the remaining buds thus increasing bud size and harvest. I say theory only because im not experienced enough to really have seen a distinction my self.

No that made perfect sense, and as green just said the only difference is he leaves buds. I guess the reasoning is no wasted energy goes into part of the plant that will gain you no benefit.

Here is one of my underbuds that you would of cut off doing the lollipop way...I'm pretty sure it's bigger than alot off people's mid or even top bud ....it's dry...

That bud is definitely not suffering from light depreciation...your light definitely got to it. No other way it gets that big without light. Or no?

Sorry, we must have posted at the same time.

Not too shabby is right. If that was below the imaginary line and had been eliminated, what a shame.

I did have some light Airy buds at the very bottom in the crook of the plant where the branches come off the stock not too many at all other than that those are my buds man

Good night boys. My not marijuana sleeping aids are kicking in. Someday, someday I won't need that other shit anymore. Hubs is doing great on weaning off the oxis. Suffering, but holding firm. First of year he is going to go down to 20's and stop altogether as fast as possible. Ten years on that damn oxis. Willing to give them up so he can have his beloved weed. Talk to you all tomorrow.

Only other light has been mh..hps...and now playing with cfls

No comparison I think...way better quality as well..so far as I've seen and tested....my maui came from my dealer...he has hps...lol...he is a pissed off camper
