SOIL Topping autos

Smallgrow

New member
Just thought I’d throw out this hotly debated topic, for discussion.
I just topped my autos after the 3rd node. I topped after 5th last grow and it turned out great (I posted a “journal” for that grow BTW).
I like my sativas and height proves to be an issue for my 6’ tent.
I got some foxtail last time so I will train harder this time.

Looks good ! I’d say that worked.
I never thought growing plants would be action packed , but trying to stay on top of training autos has proved just that. Keeps you on your toes, plus it’s fun!

That's the spirt Smallgrow well done. Yes i top and tie down just like you did with my autos. Gotta give you a big thumbs up to your grows, well thought out and it shows. Just know these snap really easy by 4wks so go gentle

I have grown exactly ONE plant so far, but it was an auto and I topped it. Got a great harvest, I'm so glad I took the chance and topped it. I think after the 4th node. The plant was incredibly compact, very short and bushy. I did lots of tying down to keep it low and wide. There were a lot of twisties to remove at harvest time, lol!

Definitely hotly debated.to each its own and I love seeing results from each avenue. I myself prefer lst only. Why slow down a plant on a timer. I leave the topping to my outdoor ladies.

Thank you, and yes I just picked up some tape 😁. Good advice.
There were some incidence last grow, I broke a few things, surprising what heals up.
