Starting a grow rent with Blue Dream auto. Should I top or lollipop an auto strain? I have heard not to and want to check here.
thx

There's this guy who's going to come in here and tell you different.
Do not top autos. Lollipopping is fine.

I top often, never had a bad result. I have been wondering about lollipopping though. I'm scared it would be too stressful and would ruin the yield.

I’d say at this point with today’s quality autos it can go both ways. I’ve had success with both options.
Same rules apply in my mind as photos, if your plant is healthy and vigorous you can top or lollipop. The thing is if you get it wrong with an auto you’ll probably end up with a runt , with a photo you can just let it veg longer.
Lots of debate on this topic but I see good growers who are doing both with great success.

Good point. So much depends on the genetics, strain, and grow environment. I'd say if a pharmer is confident in their skills, then topping an auto is no different than topping a photo fem. The process is the same, though timing as you point out, is more important with an auto.

I have both topped and not topped autos. I agree that one needs accurate timing and clipping skills with autos compared to photos. Both options can work. Rather than than endorse one over another, I suggest topping one auto and letting the second grow out naturally. See if you prefer one method over another. Remember, the end game is a harvest of good bud, and taking pride in a good grow. There are many ways to get there.

Right on. Read the article. If you have not perused the main website for information, it's golden. Each of us will give you our side of your question. Nebula breaks down the whys and whens and hows and such.

I did this one back in 21. It was supposed to be a photo but that turned out not true. By the time it started to flower under 18/6 the manifold had already been completed. I even cloned some of them. The clones started to veg then just kind of forgot what they were doing and stopped growing.
