I planted three auto ak seeds 5 days ago in jiffy pellets. They are in solo cups with plastic bottles on top for humidity, they are under t5 light in tent, temp has been around 70 to 75 degrees. As of this evening I haven't seen anything. Not sure what the expected time is for them to pop through the soil but it seems like it has been forever. Maybe I am just too excited and being impatient. What time frame is normal for everyone else. Thanks guys, I love this forum and gwe. This is my first grow and this site has been a tremendous asset!

In fact, there is no need to put in a plastic bottle, on a plate on the line, to maintain ventilation, ventilation environment may cause the root rot, because it is too tight.
As long as you keep it moist.
Maybe you have too much water, and the seeds are drowned.

I usually start with a glass of water for 12 hours before he sinks to the bottom of the cup.
Directly buried in the surface of the seedling block. General 3 days to open the surface of the soil can see the seeds are not already germinated

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of humidity domes for seedlings either. Keep em warm, keep em moist. If your humidity is too high and there's no air flow you run a huge risk of damping off imo.
My seedlings have always broken ground within 72 hours. Mostly around 48 hours. I also use distilled water for the first couple of weeks since they're so sensitive when they're so young.
I also use rapid rooters and havent used jiffy pellets but I heard people have good luck with them.
As a general rule of thumb, I try to simulate how it is in nature. It keeps things simple and in perspective imo.

Yes! These little guys are not weak and strong in the natural environment.
But artificial manipulation can easily destroy it..

Having said that all of the above is good valid info, it has only been 5 days. Some just take longer.
