To defoliate or not to?

Hi, again. As I’ve posted before I am new at this. I am not sure if I should defoliate my plant or not. There are small buds flowering. Some of the leaves are overlapping others...many of the leaves have sticky crystals on them. Any and all suggestions would be very much appreciated!

Do not, i repeat, DO NOT defol. You barely have enough plant as it is. Save those leaves. You'll need them to power your plant to make big ol buds.

Oh, Juicy, I just noticed that you were kind enough to comment on my issue with the brown area on the leaves....I’m still trying to figure out how to navigate this website (I’m not tech savvy). Many thanks for your help!

Your welcome CM. So i must admit, your plant definitely throws me for a loop. It almost looks like a reveg or something. I mean it seems healthy just maybe looks a little strange? But do you have any details on it?

One thing I will mention, depending on your light source and it’s penetration power light could still be used even after passing through 6+ leaves so if you see some lower leaves start to yellow and curl, clean those off. Once the lower leaves yellow and curl the plant is sucking all the available nutes and sugars out of the useless leaf.

Now I will say you can use defol to shape your plant, ie: they don’t want to grow in the direction of constant leaf death.

Defoiling is used to allow light/wind exposure to the lower portions in the plant. This one is too small to benefit. Do not defoil her, she is just too small for that.
